COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

Like you, CSN is concerned about COVID-19 (coronavirus) and its potential impact to individuals we support, our employees, our communities and our world.

As part of CSN’s commitment to keeping you safe and informed, we are monitoring the issue, and will continue to closely track the unfolding outbreak of coronavirus 2019, in collaboration with a range of partners and outlets to include the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), the state and national Associations we are members of as well as the Department of Health & Human Services. These leading experts and others assure us that there is no reason for panic but remind us that just like with the spread of any infectious disease, preparation is your/our first line of defense.

According to NDHHS (2020), more cases have been reported in several U.S. states. The recent instances of potential person-to-person spread in certain states along with coronavirus disease-related deaths in our country is concerning. Illnesses have ranged from mild to severe. Recent data shows older adults and people with underlying health conditions are more likely to be severely impacted by coronavirus disease 2019.

The consistent guidance given and that CSN is advising is as follows;

  • Stay home if you are sick and avoiding close contact with those who are sick.

  • Washing hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water aren’t available, use
    an alcohol-based sanitizer.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. Avoid handshakes.

  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough, or sneeze then throw the tissue in the trash.

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces of all CSN locations.
